Hello everyone...

Last week we met a fabulous man and we asked some questions to him.

His first name is Samer and his family name is Fallaha, his friends in France call him Sam.

He is forty-five years old and he comes from Syria. He is Syrian. Before the war he lived with his family in Syria.  

But now he lives in Lyons, without his girls or his wife because two of his daughters stayed in Syria with his parents to carry on their studies and the other two are in Turkey with their mum.

When he was in Syria, he was an interior designer, now he is training to be a chef in Lyons. He went to the university for five years to become an interior designer, he was a good student.

He can speak three languages, Arabic, English and a little French. He started learning French on the internet.   He travelled to Greece with other people in a little ship and he took the train to go to Paris and finally he arrived in Cormatin. 

Samer is very optimistic, he is always happy because he is still alive! Samer is an example, if we were like him, we would never be sad. 

He likes France; he enjoys the language, the kindness of people, the beautiful nature, and the countryside.

He has been in France for thirteen months; he wanted to start his life again... He hopes one day to back to his country after the war. He hopes to see his wife and his girls again soon when they can come to France.

We were very happy to meet him and we thank him a lot for meeting us...
